Off campus login..
MCTC allows access to databases from off-campus using a proxy server. The proxy server allows you to access our subscription databases by authenticating that you are a valid MCTC Library patron.

What is the link for the database, also does it require us to use an FTP program?
I am not sure what you are asking here. You are required to look and use three reference database next week to search for information on topic of your choice. These databases link off the library homepage. Look at the comment in the blog under this one. Also go through the tutorials.
Gareth,
No FTP or other software required. Point your browser(Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE) at
http://www.minneapolis.edu/library/pages/onlineComplete.htm and you're ready to go.
wOOt, thx Josh. I wasn't sure if we would need ftp to connect to the database. Only reason I asked, I'm sure it would only complicate things to have everyone try to use it. After rereading the blog I did see where Jane said "web browser". Also thank you for the link.
Thanks Jane for walking me through this so easily. It was much easier than I anticipated...actually had a lot of fun exploring these different sites in the library system. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be.
