If you cannot locate a book in MnPals, try World Cat (worldcat.org) to see what library owns the book closest to MCTC. If you did not try it for Assignment 3, try it for the final project. You can also set World Cat to own home zipcode to see what library is closest to your OWN home location. It is a very powerful catalog.

I found WorldCat to be my favorite catalog - it had so much information! I used it for one article in Assignment 3, and explored nearly all of its extensive features. The music portion of WorldCat is really great - I wonder how many students go through MCTC's programs and never find out what sources can be reached just by being a student of MCTC.
I also found WorldCat to be very useful. I went to WorldCat to see if a book I had selected to use was at the library close to my home and while in this catalog I ended up discarding my search for the original choice and going with a selection that came up on the WorldCat list. I then checked through WorldCat to see if MCTC held the book. I ended up ordering it from the Main Hennepin Co. Library to be sent to my branch, but of course due to the holiday week and the day I requested the book it didn't arrive YET! A useful tool none the less.
